About the Wingback Workshop
The Wingback Workshop is an independent publication launched in June 2022 by Kristen Hall-Geisler. Perks of being part of the Workshop:
- Free monthly roundups of whatever I've been reading, from French criticism to rock-n-roll memoirs.
- Free email-only issues of Sawdust, my little literary diary. After a week, these entries are published behind a paywall on the main Wingback Workshop website.
- Announcements about publications, classes, book sales – anything bookish that comes up, you'll hear about it.
- Occasional book reviews and essays.
- Whatever experimental stuff I feel like trying. I promise not to overwhelm your inbox or your RSS feed.

Avoid the Algorithm
If you are among the growing audience of people who are tired of "the algorithm" dictating what we all see, sign up for the newsletter to get The Wingback Workshop in your inbox. (There is also an RSS feed, so you can catch it all in your feed reader too.) I'm also hoping that I can sidestep some of AI's scrapier tendencies, but I may be deluding myself.
And you can find KHG on Mastodon and Bluesky:

A Low-Key Community
The Wingback Workshop does not pressure its readers for likes and subscribes and engagement. There's no clickbait around here, and by the time I have a take on the literary discourse of the day, it has often moved on. The Wingback Workshop community that I hope to build is thoughtful and critical about what we read. Sign up and start finding your bookish people!
