Available Now: Memoirs of a French Courtesan Vol. 3: Luck

Happy publication day to Memoirs of a French Courtesan Volume 3: Luck! The author sadly won't be able to enjoy this new volume of the translation by Kristen Hall-Geisler, but as Celeste Mogador has been dead for more than a century, she probably won't mind. And given her life, she certainly would not mind us celebrating her. Maybe with some champagne.

All three volumes of Mogador's memoirs translated by Hall-Geisler (that's me, to be clear) are available anywhere you buy books online or in a local book shop. You can also order direct from the publisher, Practical Fox.

So, what's Celeste been up to? Gambling, falling in love, falling out of love, accidentally falling in love while trying to make another lover jealous, going to London to get married only to realize it is such a filthy city that her white dress gets dirty just from contact with the air, consulting psychics, and lending absolutely useless, impulsive people far too much money. And that's hardly everything.

The final volume of Mogador's memoirs, tentatively titled Payback, will be out at the end of 2025.
