The Reading Lamp

ATTENTION! If you find yourself on this page, you're interested enough to be poking around for more from KHG. I would love to offer you more! In the spirit of this website and newsletter being a workshop, I am looking for about a half dozen brave souls to join me for a trial run of a one-time read-along and discussion group/lecture. This session would be free and fun! All I ask in return is your feedback of what you liked and what could be improved for future sessions.
Here's the idea:
- The first book would likely be A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf. It's a book a lot of English readers know about but maybe haven't actually read, so this is your chance. It's also not terribly long, and it's a very good way to dip a toe into Woolf's writing if you haven't yet.
- The discussion group/lecture would be on Zoom (though I'm open to suggestions on the platform we use). I'm aiming for late afternoon on the West Coast and early evening on the East Coast on a weekday, and it would probably be about 90 minutes, similar to a college lecture and discussion.
- This could take place as soon as early May if enough people are up for it.
- If you are interested, email me at khg @ kristenhallgeisler . com. I, a human, will answer you.
Need a copy? This book is a century old (but still relevant), so there are lots of ways to pick up a copy, including your library or local used book shop, or any ebook vendor.
